Lassie Jerky

And here I am, late on the draw again on my Psych eps. But here is season 7, episode 3 entitled Lassie Jerky.

In this one, they're clearly channeling The Blair Witch Project. Like I've said in posts in the past, I'm not big on my horror genre knowledge so I didn't pick up references, but let me know if your viewing differed.

I must say, Gus was FULL of sassy soundbites tonight. So unless stated otherwise, they are all from that joker.
So here are my highlights:

I do wonder if the highlight of Kate's clear promiscuity is a nod to the horror genre as a whole since it does usually play a factor (and the slutty ones die first..)

"You know I'm allergic to pine needles and most types of dirt. Plus it's raining now. If I don't start smelling slow roasting brisket, we're turning around."

"What deal? We're on our way to the Sassy Quatch. It's a secret barbecue hut built into the side of a cave that almost nobody knows about."

"Oh no. No, no, no. I will not get eaten by a bear to prove that bigfoot does not exist. Nope. No bears eatin me. Not today, not ever. Not even in your dreams."

Juliet Takes a Luvvah

And here we are again, oh so soon (mostly because I was supah late on posting the last one). This time we meet for the 2nd episode in the 7th season titled, Juliet Takes a Luvvah.

This one loses a bit of the funny and is a bit all over the place, focusing on Shawn and how he's still trying to figure out things with a few cases working peripherally in the background and Gus getting a prominent story thread centering around his love life.

But let's skip any extra exposition and get right into the ep and the funny.
I'm also going to start adding any Anthropologie sightings to the mix since I'm very familiar with product and have seen it popping up in TV a lot lately (Pretty Little Liars, Mindy Project, New
Girl, Suburgatory, all guilty of this).

Life's a Beach

You guys! You know what I've missed? Recapping my little Psychos. And in honor of the CW's decision to cancel the crap out of our craptasticly beloved 90210, I will recap the rest of these episodes.

Since the last time I recounted, the kids have gone through more unbelievable and unrealistic crap, more than I have time to write and more than you have time to read.

But here's the quick and dirty.

Naomi will soon be a divorcee, and now has a half brother she's restauranteering with.
Silver is growing a baby inside another lady.
Dixon is still doing boring record things. But now he can walk.
Annie's boyfriend died, suddenly has a book deal, got shot and is still in love with Liam.
Adrianna did more crazy things and no one likes her.
Navid left Princeton like a dummy and then joined a secret society and quit because he has 'morals', (or commitment issues?).
Liam had a stalker, thought he killed whatshername, but didn't really, she killed the stalker, he started a fight club and now he's going to make surf boards?

I think that's it but without further ado let's get into this week's ep of the last season of 90210, Life's a Beach, season 8, episode 16.

Psych returns! Santabarbaratown 2

Wednesday the 27th, marked the return of one of my very favorite shows Psych! Kicking off it's 7th season was Santabarbaratown 2, the conclusion of Season 6's cliffhanger.

I love this show for so many reasons, but one of the main ones is very personal. Their shooting locations are in BC, Canada, right out of Vancouver in a town that I used to grow up in.  White Rock is generally used for all of the beach scenes and the little Psych office exterior they always use is actually a small museum right on the walkway of the beach.

So in this episode, the exterior they use for Jerry's house, where he (spoiler alert!) shoots Shawn's dad, is right up the beach from where my family and I would take walks after dinner.

But let's get away from my sappy crap and get into our hilarious episode!  I'll continue doing these Psych recaps the way I have been, focusing more on the awesome/moments and jokes instead of a full play by play recap.  This seemed to be laden with Die Hard references but I've never seen those movies because I'm not a guy and I never had a boyfriend that forced me to watch them with him. So, sorry I have no references to add this time y'all.

I'm Such a Slacker!

It appears I have given up, yes?
True, I totally dropped the ball on this but I have realized recently that I really do miss my recaps of the crazy that happens on television. It only makes me so much more grateful that shit like that doesn't occur in my day to day life. So I will resume on batshit crazy shows, like with our favorite psychos of 90210, the emotional rapyness of the Bravermans and whatever other show I feel like it.

(and I'm terrible at followthrough. I'm working on it! That's what therapy's for. I mean, right?)

But look out for a review on some theater.  It may harsh a bit on the creative choices but hopefully it doesn't come off as [like, too] meanspirited. Right, you guys? ...

But look forward to more snarky bunty quips from, yes, this guy.
